Actor Showreel FAQs

Most actor showreels work best between 1 and 2 minutes. Casting directors usually decide very quickly, so it’s important to keep the pacing strong and lead with your best material.

That’s completely fine. A short reel with 1 or 2 strong scenes is often far more effective than a long reel filled with weaker material.

I can work with streamed footage if you already have permission and access to the clips, but I’m unable to download copyrighted material directly from streaming services.

Whenever possible, I recommend requesting original footage or high quality clips from the production company, editor or studio. This usually gives the best visual quality for your showreel.

Yes. If you’d like, I can help structure the reel and choose the strongest moments to make sure the pacing works and your performance stays front and centre.

Yes. Professional footage is ideal, but strong self tapes can absolutely work in a reel if they’re filmed clearly and the acting is strong.

No. I keep the focus on the actor and performance. Most of my showreels use clean cuts and subtle editing so the reel feels professional and easy to watch.

You can upload your clips through Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or any file sharing service that works best for you.

Standard turnaround is usually between 3 and 5 working days depending on the complexity of the reel. I also offer a 24-hour priority service when available.

Of course. Revisions are included so we can make sure the final reel feels right for you.

Yes. Your finished reel will be delivered in a professional format suitable for Spotlight, casting websites, agents and personal websites.

A lyric video focuses on animated text and visuals built around the lyrics and branding of the song. A music video usually focuses more heavily on filmed footage and storytelling.

A hybrid video combines filmed footage with animated lyrics and motion graphics. This style works especially well for bands that want the energy of a music video while still keeping lyrics central to the experience.

No. Everything is edited and designed specifically for each project. I focus on creating visuals that match the artist, song and branding rather than using generic templates or AI generated content.

I mainly work with rock, metal, alternative and indie artists, but I’m open to other genres as well.

Absolutely. I can incorporate logos, colours, artwork and overall visual style so the video feels connected to your release and identity as a band or artist.

Usually the final audio track, lyrics, artwork or logos, and any ideas or references you already have. If you have footage, you can send that too.

It depends on the complexity and style, but most projects are completed within 1 to 3 weeks.

Yes. I can create vertical edits for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Spotify Canvas content.

Usually, yes. If you’re outside the UK, I can often provide quotes in your local currency to make pricing clearer and easier for you.

Payment details will be discussed before the project begins. Depending on the project size, I may require full payment upfront or a deposit before work starts.

I primarily work with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for editing and motion graphics. I also sometimes use Blender for animation and cinematic visual work depending on the project.
